Guide for Estimating Vessel Diameters
The vessel diameter template helps estimate the rim diameter of the original vessel from a rim sherd. Pie-shaped divisions indicate what percentage of the original vessel’s rim is represented
by the rim sherd.
The vessel diameter sheet is available in two sizes: 8½” x 11” for measuring vessels with diameters up to 50 cm (above), and 11” x 17” for diameters up to 90 cm (below).
The guide is laminated in durable plastic, and it also available in both sizes for measurements in inches.
